Welcome To PCDC

Pawtucket Citizens Development Corporation (PCDC) develops and manages affordable housing in Pawtucket and Central Falls, RI. Pawtucket Citizens Development Corporation (PCDC) is applying for $400,000 in Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Cleanup Grant funding to clean up contaminants on privately owned properties on Branch Street.  These sites are identified as Lots 41, 46, 48, 58, 59, 60, 61 on Assessor’s Plat 06.  Soil samples collected from the sites as part of an environmental assessment contained hazardous materials (lead and arsenic) at concentrations above the RIDEM Residential Direct Exposure Criteria.  The source of the contamination was attributed to historic filling with undocumented fill material and/or demolition debris from former structures.

 PCDC is accepting public comments on this Brownfields Cleanup Grant Application as well as the Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA).  A public meeting to discuss these alternatives will be held on Monday, January 13th at 6:00pm at PCDC’s office, 204 Broad Street, Pawtucket.  This meeting is open to the public.  Parties wishing to offer written or oral comments on the document should do so by Friday, January  17th, 2014.  Copies of all grant proposal documents will be available for public distribution and review. Draft grant materials, the ABCA and other application documents are available at PCDC’s office and at pawtucketcdc.org.   Comments, questions and requests for information should be directed to Andrew Pierson at 401-726-1173, apierson at pawtucketcdc.org.
